In a nutshell, micro needling is a treatment that uses tiny needles to puncture the top layers of the skin, causing physical trauma. Your body’s natural response is to repair this traumatised skin by sending nutrient & oxygen rich blood to the area. The result is increased production of elastin and collagen, resurfacing, retexturizing and overall skin renewal.
The micro needling treatment itself takes around an hour, a good portion of which is spent numbing the skin for your comfort during the procedure. There is some pain when needling the more sensitive areas such as the top lip and nose, but it’s very bearable and the results are well worth it. You may have some redness after the treatment and possibly even the next day, nothing that a good foundation won’t cover.
