THE BEST WRINKLE … Is the one you never get

Do you want to slow down the ageing process? Restore, Plump & Even out skin?

GEM-PL Rejuvenation – The gold standard for photo rejuvenation.

Photo rejuvenation is a non-invasive treatment that provides an effective way to correct and treat skin damage without disrupting the skins surface, producing healthier looking skin on the face, neck and chest.

Most people would like to keep a youthful and fresh look forever.  This is not easy, as our skin ages due to excessive sun exposure and decrease of collagen production, with the use of the Gem-Pl systems, intense pulsed light technology (IPL), we can reduce the visible effects of ageing.

With a series of treatments the production of collagen is stimulated, elasticity is improved, fine lines and wrinkles are reduced and a smoother, clearer complexion is the result.

This non-invasive treatment is suitable for:

 | Sun Spots

 | Pigmentation

 | Scarring

 | Acne

 | Enlarged Pores

 | Fine Lines and Wrinkles

 | Sun Damaged Chests

 | Uneven Skin Colour

 | Redness

Why choose IPL over other treatment options?

Laser resurfacing and deep chemical peels often send patients into hiding, as they wait for redness and swelling to subside.

Face lifts and other surgical procedures are far too invasive for younger patients who simply want to revitalize their appearance without recovery down time. Photo rejuvenation with IPL is the safest, most versatile of all treatment options & numerous skin conditions can be treated simultaneously.

Why choose IPL over other treatment options?

With the application of the Gem-Pl, a flash is emitted and causes a thermal shock to the skin.  The process induces controlled wounds on the skin, prompting it to heal itself by creating new cells.

What are the benefits of IPL skin rejuvenation?

In addition to improving uneven skin color, sun damage, facial redness (Rosacea), and pigmentation, the heat energy stimulates new collagen production beneath the skin surface, firming and rejuvenating the skin.

After a series of IPL treatments at intervals spaced 2-3 weeks apart, the skin will appear more luminous, brighter and smoother. Improvements can be seen 10 days following the first treatment and enhanced results can be seen with each subsequent treatment.

How are IPL skin treatment using photo rejuvenation performed?

A cold gel is applied to the area to being treated and patients are given protective eyewear. During treatment, the smooth, glass surface of the IPL hand piece is gently applied to the skin, delivering precise pulses of light.

IPL treatments are usually pain-free, some patients compare the sensation to a light pinch or the snap of a rubber band.

Treatment sessions usually last about 20 minutes and afterwards, patients can immediately return to normal activities. Patients may experience redness which may last for an hour or two, and your skin may feel slightly ‘sun burnt’.

You will have a healthy glow about you, brown spots and pigmented areas will turn darker after the treatment, followed by fading and flaking off over the next few weeks.

Why are multiple treatment necessary?

Several IPL treatments are required to provide gradual, natural-looking improvement with very low risk.

Post procedure care

It is important to protect your skin from direct sun exposure over the series of your treatments and it is highly recommended to use a spf30+ sunblock. Sun beds and sun bathing are to be avoided. Photo rejuvenation treatments can be carried out all year round as long as you are not planning to be in full sun exposure immediately following a treatment.
